Digitally modeled moss native to Lanyu, Taiwan (Orchid Island) is distributed across the frame according to a spatial map derived from video footage recorded by the artist of a television monitor playing an institutional video inside a radioactive waste storage facility. The facility is located at a contested site on the island, built on the ancestral land of the Tao Indigenous community. The moss fully replaces the source imagery, forming an abstracted visual surface. Subtitles from the original video are reintroduced, foregrounding the disjunction between institutional language and the island’s natural environment and cultural context.
